Mini Starweaver Tag

This tutorial was written in psp8, but can be done in other versions ;o)

You will need:~ Supplies zip HERE which includes, tube, mask, font and brushes (you will find 2 sets in the supplies zip, one of them converted for psp7, the other set for other versions ;o)

(If you need help to install the brushes then you can find some helpful info HERE ;o)

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow (don't worry if you haven't got it, you can use a large blurry Drop Shadow instead)

Ok! Let's get started!

Open a new image 350 x 150 and floodfill with #8B0948, rename this layer 'background'

Layers>New Raster Layer and floodfill with black

Layers>New Mask Layer>From Image, find and select YarrowMask2.jpg in the drop down menu, Source Luminance checked:~

*For PSP 7 Masks>New>From Image*

Layers>Merge>Merge Group *No need to do this if using PSP7*, rename this layer 'mask'

Open your tube and copy (Edit>Copy) and paste it as a new layer (Edit>Paste>Paste As New Layer), Image>Resize, by 45%, Resample using: Bicubic Checked, Lock aspect ratio Checked, Resize all layers UNchecked. Again, Image>Resize by 80% and again Image>Resize by 77% (this stops the image going a bit pixelated from resizing so small!), rename this layer 'tube'

Postition the tube like mine and then add the following Drop Shadow (Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow) :~

Layers>New raster Layer, on your layer palette, drag this layer above your background and mask layers and rename 'brushes'

Set your foreground to black and select your brush tool, custom brushes, and find the butterfly brush (bsinbrushes1 007), I resized mine to 140, apply it over to the right of the tag (use your mover tool to move it into position if needed ;o) and lower the opacity to 70.

Layers>New Raster Layer rename this layer 'brushes2', find brush: a-dozi's-stains-05-brush, and apply the odd random stain, lower the opacity to 30.

Layers>New Raster Layer, rename this layer 'brushes3', find Starshower_Yarrow brush, I resized mine to 150, apply a few stars behind the tube, next to the butterfly.

Last brush now! I promise!
Layers>New raster Layer and find shadymedusa_set_005 008, swirl brush, I resized mine to 55. apply it to the top right hand corner like mine.

Layers>Duplicate, Image>Mirror, and you should now have your brush duplicated on the left hand top corner, use you mover tool to position it if needed ;o)
Layers>Duplicate again and Image>Flip, it should now appear on the bottom left but you probably won't be able to see it to well because the tube is in the way ;o)
Layers>Duplicate one more time and Image>Mirror.

Image>Add Border, click yes,ok to the pop up box and apply border width 1, symmetric, colour black.

Add the artists copyright info and your watermark etc.

Now for your name! Foreground Black and Background #8B0948, the king & queen font, anti-alias checked, create as vector, size depending on your name, I used 30 because this font has a long swirly capital Y! Position it to your liking and Layers>Convert To Raster Layer.

Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel with these settings:~

Then Effects>Plugins>Eye Candy 4000, Gradient Glow, with these settings for the basic tab:~ (alternatively, you could use a drop shadow, colour white, V:0, H:0, Opacity 100, Blur:6)

and select 'thin' and colour white for the color tab:~

Layers>Merge>Merge Visable

File>Save As, select Save as type JPEG, click the options button bottom right, select Compression Factor 1 and Chroma Subsampling (none) as below :~

Click ok and continue with your save, this should give you a nice and clear tag ;o) and we're done!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
