This tutorial was written in psp 8, but can be done in other versions. You will need: A Tube of your choice and 2 Images, I'm using the gorgeous artwork by my favourite artist Zindy S. D. Nielsen, you will need to visit Zindy Zone to use the tube and images that I've used. Free images/tubes by Zindy are available from HERE Butterflies of your choice, I can't supply the butterflies that I used, they come with one of Zindy's tubes HERE. Brush made by me HERE or alternatively you could use my mask 09 HERE 'Moody Blues' Scrap Kit by Farrah available from Designer Scraps Ok, let's get started! Open a new blank image 600x600 pixels, (we can resize later) and flood fill with white. Open the scrap kit elements and copy and paste the frame as a new layer onto your blank image, Image>Resize, Bicubic, Resize All Layers UNchecked by 80% and again by 90%. Add a Drop Shadow of V: 0, H: 0, Opacity: 55, Blur 5. Open the scrap kit papers and copy and paste paper 4 as a new layer onto your canvas, drag this layer below the frame layer on the layer palette. Resize by 80% 3 times and then Image>Rotate>Free Rotate, Right, free, 25 degrees and position it like mine and apply the same drop shadow as before. Copy and paste Paper 3 from the scrap kit as a new layer onto your canvas and resize it by 80% 3 times, Image>Rotate>Free Rotate, Right, free, 18 degrees and position it over the top of paper 4 like mine and apply the same drop shadow. Copy and paste the beads from the elements as a new layer and Free Rotate 18 degrees, right. resize by 80% and then again by 86%. Position the beads over the top of paper 3 like mine and then Layers>Duplicate, Image>Flip, Image>Mirror and position the duplicated beads on the bottom of paper 3. Layers>Duplicate, Free Rotate 90 degrees right and position the beads on the left of paper 3. Layers>Duplicate one more time and Image>Flip, Image>Mirror and position the beads to the right of the paper. Close the visibility off on your layer palette of the background and frame layers and Layers>Merge>Merge Visible. Unhide the layers. Click on the frame layer to make it the active layer and with the selection tool, feather 0, rectangle, draw out a rectangle selection over the frame like below:
Open paper 2 from the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas and drag this layer below the frame layer, Selections>Invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Selections>Invert again and Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Colorize and set both hue and saturation to 0. Lower the opacity of this layer to around 64. With it still selected, open up a tube or image of your choice and paste it as a new layer, make sure that it is above the paper 2 layer and below the frame layer. Resize the tube to fit nicely inside the frame then Selections>Invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Selections>Select None and apply a faint drop shadow. Copy and paste the Double frame form the scrap kit elements as a new layer to the top of the layer palette and resize by 80% 5 times. Close off the visibility of all layers except for the background layer so that you can see what you're doing and with the selection tool, draw out a rectangle around the first left frame like below:
Open a image of your choice (remember not to mix artists) and copy and paste it as a new layer, drag it below the double frame layer and resize it to fit, Selections>Invert and hit delete on your keyboard, Selections>Select None and repeat for the second right frame. Close off the visibility off the background layer and Layers>Merge>Merge Visible. Unhide all layers and make sure that the double frame merged layer is the active layer on the layer palette and Free Rotate, 25 degrees, left and position it like mine at the top left. Add a Drop Shadow of V: 0, H: 0, Opacity: 55, Blur 5. Copy and paste the Clip from the scrap kit elements as a new layer on the top of the layer palette and resize by 80% 3 times, position it like mine over the top of the frames and with the lasso tool, feather 0, zoom in and select and delete parts of the clip to make it look like the clip is clipped on, the deselect:
Copy and paste the flower from the scrap kit elements as a new layer, resize by 80% 5 times, position it over on the top right of the frame, Layers>Duplicate, resize the duplicated flower by 80% and position the duplicated flower just below and to the right of the first flower, Layers>Duplicate and resize by 80% and position it just below and to the left of the last flower. Apply a drop shadow to all the flower layers of V: 0, H: 0, opacity: 35, Blur:6. Copy and paste a butterfly of you choice and resize and position it on the bottom left of the frame, and apply the same drop shadow used before for the flowers. Close off the visibility of the background layer and Layers>Merge>Merge Visible. Unhide the background layer, Layers>New Raster Layer, drag this layer below the merged layer and above the background layer. Choose a colour to match you tag (paint palette provided with the papers) and apply the brush to this layer. Layers>Merge>Merge Visible, Crop and resize your tag if needed and apply the artists copyright info etc. Choose a dark colour from you tag for the foreground colour and a light colour for the background, I used #202B33 and #A9BDC9. Add you name (anti-alias checked) I used the Freebooter Script font HERE, size 72 and I applied a subtle inner bevel:
And I applied a drop shadow of V: 2, H:2, Opacity: 70. Blur: 7. Layers>Merge>Merge Visible, Save As jpg and we're done!
