This tutorial was made in psp 8, but can be done in other versions.

You will need:

An image of your choice, I'm using the artwork of Dark Yarrow available from Dreamscape Imaging.

Obsidian scrap kit (ptu) from Digital Chaos HERE.

My Mask 09 HERE.

Frame Shadow HERE.

Alien Skin Xenofex 2, Constellation (not a free plugin) a free demo can be found
HERE

dsb flux, Bright Noise HERE.

Ok, Let's get started!

Open Mask 09 and minimise for now.

Open a new blank image 500 x 500 pixels and flood fill with white.

Open Frame 03 from the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer. Image> Resize by 80%, Bicubic, Resize All Layers Unchecked. Image> Mirror.

With the Magic Wand tool, Tolerance and Feather both at 0, click inside the frame, Selections> Modify> Expand, by 10 pixels.

Open your choice of image and copy and paste it as a new layer, on the layer palette drag this layer below the frame layer, resize and position to fit nicely inside the frame. Selections> Invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Selections> Select None. If you are using the same image as me, or, if it's a bit too colourful then Layers> Duplicate, on the duplicated copy: Adjust> Hue and Saturation> Colorize, I set mine to Hue: 179, Saturation: 6 but both set to 0 will do. Lower the opacity of the duplicated copy layer to around 50.

Open the Frame Shadow and copy and paste it as a new layer, make sure that it is above the image layer and below the frame layer on the layer palette and position it in the middle of the frame.

Close the visibility off of the bottom white background layer and Layers> Merge> Merge Visible. Unhide the white background layer.

Apply a Drop Shadow to the merged frame layer of V: 2, H: 2, Opacity: 55, Blur 5, colour black.

Open Paper04 from the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer, on the layer palette drag this paper layer below the merged frame layer. Layers> New Mask Layer> From Image and find Mask 09 that you minimised earlier in the drop down menu, click ok.

Layers> Merge> Merge Group. Image> Resize by 90% and lower the opacity to around 40 or so.

Open the Doodle01 from the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer on top of the mask layer. Image > Mirror, Image> Rotate> Free Rotate, Left, 30 Degrees Free (both boxes underneath unchecked) Image> Resize by 55%, and position the doodle to the top left behind the frame. Layers> Duplicate, Image> Mirror, Image> Flip and position the duplicated doodle to the bottom right of the frame. Apply the same drop shadow used earlier to both doodle layers.

Add the artists copyright info and any license number, tagger name/watermark etc. as a new layer. We will be adding the flowers to the top left in a minute so make sure you leave room for them on the left and that they wont cover over the copyright text.

Layers>Merge> Merge Visible. On the layer palette right click on the merged layer and rename it something like 'tag'.

Open Flower01 from the scrap kit and copy and paste it as a new layer, Image > Resize by 33%, Layers Duplicate, Image> Resize the duplicated flower by 70% and position it to the left and below the original flower layer. Layers> Duplicate, Image> Resize by 70% and position below the duplicated flower layer.

On the layer palette, close the visibility off of the bottom 'tag' layer and Layers> Merge> Merge Visible. Rename this layer 'flowers'. Apply the same drop shadow as before but check the box 'Shadow on New Layer':

Add the text for you name, Create As Vector, I used 'Freebooter Script' font HERE, size 55, Bold. With the Vector node, rotate your text to the left slightly:

When you're happy with the position of your text: Layers> Convert To Raster Layer. Apply Effects> 3D Effects> Inner Bevel with the following settings:

Rename this layer 'text' and apply the same drop shadow as before, 'Shadow on New Layer' box checked.

If you want to add some sparkle carry on below, if not Layers> Merge> Merge Visible, and save as jpg.

*Add Sparkle.

On the layer palette close the visibility off of the bottom 'tag' layer and both the shadow layers:

Click on the top 'text' layer to make it the active layer and Layers> Merge> Merge Visible. Hide the new merged layer and unhide both shadow layers, click on one of the shadow layers to make it active and Layers> Merge> Merge Visible. rename this layer 'shadow' and unhide the layers.

Click on the top merged layer to make it the active layer and Selections> Select All, Selections> Float, Selections> Defloat, Selections> Modify> Expand, by 1.

Layers> New Raster Layer, name it 'fill', flood fill with white (make sure you click in all the selections) and on the layer palette drag it below the merged layer. Selections> Select None.

Layers> Duplicate twice giving you a total of 3 'fill' layers:

On the top fill copy layer apply Effects> Plugins> Alien Skin Xenofex 2, Constellation with these settings:

Apply again on the middle fill layer but click the 'random seed' button. Repeat for the bottom fill layer and remember to click the random seed button.

Click on the top merged layer to make it the active layer, zoom in to your tag and with the Freehand Selection/Lasso Tool, Feather 0, Mode: Add(Shift), select the middle parts of the flowers.

Layers> Duplicate twice giving you a total of 3 'merged' layers:

On the top merged copy layer apply Effects> Plugins> dsb flux, Bright Noise with these settings:

Apply again on the middle fill layer but click the 'mix' button 2 times. Repeat for the bottom fill layer and click the mix button 3 times.

Selections> Select None.

On the layer palette close the visibility off of the bottom 2 merged layers and the bottom 2 fill layers:

Edit> Copy Merged.

Open Animation Shop and Edit> Paste> As New Animation.

Back to PSP and hide the top copy merged and fill layers and unhide the middles copies. Edit> Copy Merged.

In Animation Shop Edit> Paste> After Current Frame.

Back to PSP, hide the middle copy layers and unhide the bottom copy layers. Edit> Copy Merged.

In Animation Shop Edit> Paste> After Current Frame. View> Animation and check that it plays ok, save as gif and we're done!
